About Michiel Stoové

Michiel has been a lawyer for more than 10 years and joined Holla Advocaten in 2019. As a specialist in Financing, Securities & Insolvency, he is regularly appointed receiver in bankruptcy cases and he assists companies in good times and bad. His focus is on advice and litigation in relation to directors’ liability, questions concerning fraudulent transactions, and restructuring.

Clients and colleagues see Michiel as sociable, loyal and level-headed. He finds it important to know exactly what goal clients are pursuing, in order to arrive at exactly the right solution to their legal problems. In his work, he favours a personal approach, short lines of communication and a pragmatic way of working. Cooperating where possible; entering into a confrontation where necessary.

Michiel loves to travel in his free time. In the past, for example, he spent a few months travelling with friends by car around the US and Central America – a real road trip! Nowadays, he mostly takes holidays with the family, the further the better, and he always tries to make the trips as adventurous as possible. He also has a passion for sport – hockey, tennis and football, among others – but in recent times he has had to make do more often with watching rather than actively participating.
