About Jan van Heijningen
Jan was born and raised in ‘s-Hertogenbosch. He started working for Holla in 1984 and has been a partner at our firm since 1991. Jan specialises in procurement law, government contracts concerning – for example – area development, state liability – including administrative compensation – and the Government Information (Public Access) Act. He mainly advises authorities and companies about issues in the cross-over area between public and private law. Jan is a member of the Dutch Association for Procurement Law (NVvA) and shows great social commitment. He has a large amount of affinity for and experience with political-administrative relations and sensitive management issues. Jan has a special connection with ’s-Hertogenbosch. He was a member of the city council and in that capacity fulfilled the functions of presidium chairman and deputy chairman. He is also socially involved. Jan is, among other things, secretary to the board of Erfgoed Brabant (Brabant Estate), member of the supervisory board of the Monumentenwacht (Monuments Watch Association) and member of the supervisory committee of het Zuidelijk Toneel (Southern Netherlands Stage).
Jan is an inspiring sparring partner who combines legal expertise with in-depth administrative experience.
